An important aspect of the international activity of Kherson State University is scientific and cultural cooperation with higher education institutions of the Republic of Poland, which is a member of the European Union.
On September 1, 2003, the Polish Language and Culture Center was opened. Partners from the Czestochowa Academy Yana Dlugosh (until 2004 - Higher Pedagogical School) were the first guests in the center. The guests brought a computer and a map of Europe as a gift.
Polish language courses with philological students and cultural events are held at the Center. After classes, they can self-study here, using dictionaries, scientific and educational aids, audio and video recordings, and satellite television. Here they create term papers and dissertations in the Polish language and literature.

One of the objectives of the Center is to popularize the Polish language and culture among students and schoolchildren of the city of Kherson.
Polish students who come for exchange to our university are always welcome guests here. These are usually students of the Cracow Pedagogical University, Academy. Jan Dlugosh in Czestochowa, Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk. They attend classes in the Polish language, actively communicate with students of the faculty of foreign philology, and spend free time with them. Such meetings are a powerful motivational impulse for students of the Polish language, an opportunity for students of partner countries to get to know each other closer, make friends, and determine further prospects for cooperation.
