Workshop for students of 24 schools
In the Molecular Biology Laboratories of our department, a workshop was held with high school students of the 24th Kherson School. Graduate student Anton Lebed, revealed to young biologists the secrets of the buccal epithelium.
During the workshop-shop, the student was shown a laboratory of molecular biology. This laboratory, created with the assistance of the rector of KSU Alexander Spivakovsky, is the decoration of the faculty and the university. Thanks to modern equipment, scientists and students (and more recently students) are able to isolate DNA, perform enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and work with cell and tissue culture. During a work shop, students tried to isolate the buccal epithelium, saw bone marrow preparations and bacterial cultures. The staff of the department Anastasia Shkuropat and Vita Shvets participated in the event. We are waiting for the schoolchildren interested and in love with biology!
