Our first-year geography students have successfully started their scientific career, and an international one at that, by speaking at the All-Ukrainian English-language conference "ECOLOGY IS A PRIORITY" held by V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on 19 April. They talked about the consequences of the war in the region - about the damage to the soil of Kherson region, about ecocide in the region, about the environmental hazards of livestock enterprises during hostilities (on the example of the massive death of chickens at the Chornobaivska poultry farm in March 2022). All participants (students, supervisors and language tutors) received certificates and a good incentive to continue their work. By the way, they all participate in the activities of the Kherson branch of EGEA - the European Association of Young Geographers, and Ilya Muzyka, as the branch's curator, represents our interests at the European level.
