The training is a joint project of the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology and the Faculty of Medicine, implemented at the initiative of the KSU Social and Psychological Service for the World AIDS Day. It is known that the fight against this dangerous disease requires not only medical but also psychological help. Therefore, the event was attended not only by future doctors, but also by future psychologists.

Natalia Ryzhenko, the head of the Dovira office and an infectious disease doctor at the Kherson City Clinical Hospital named after EE Karabelesh, joined the training. She told the students about the diagnosis, treatment and support of patients. During the practical part of the students were acquainted with the principles of rapid tests to detect infection. Also, everyone had the opportunity to take the test.
Natalia Ryzhenko assures that AIDS is not a verdict: “Today, virtually every secondary care facility in the Kherson region and in Ukraine in general has the opportunity to receive treatment. This is what Dovira's offices and infectious disease doctors do.
In the second part of the training "Eliminate inequality, get rid of AIDS, stop the pandemic" Svitlana Revenko, a specialist at the KSU Social and Psychological Service, introduced students to social and psychological assistance to the infected, working with patients and their relatives.
