On June 9, 2023, in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, associate professor of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of Kherson State University, Oleksandr Edelev, as a representative of the Athletics Federation of the Kherson region, took part in an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine.
At this meeting, the acting president of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine, People's Deputy of Ukraine, bronze medalist of the Olympic Games Olga Saladuha, was elected.
