Study visits for groups of international students to Germany and summer university courses (DAAD)

Subject knowledge is transferred through study tours (visits to universities). Meetings with German students and academics help to establish contacts between German and foreign universities. You can also get a regional insight into the economic, political and cultural life of Germany

Who can apply?  Applications are open to faculty members from state and state-recognised foreign universities. Please note that this programme is project-based funding and is not an individual scholarship. Study trips for groups of international students to Germany (2-5 year: group trips for students to Germany "Studienreisen" (up to 15 students, 1 teacher, 12 days).

Financing

Study trips to at least two German universities for a maximum of 15 international students accompanied by a university professor for a maximum of 12 days are funded. Funding is available for groups of international students from the 2nd semester onwards, registered graduates, (in exceptional cases) doctoral students and an accompanying university professor.

Summer university courses in Germany for international students and graduates (DAAD)

 

Status: students, graduates.

Who can apply?  Undergraduate (e.g. Bachelor's) and Master's students in all disciplines are eligible to apply. Undergraduate students must have completed at least two academic years by the time the scholarship period begins.

Financing

The programme finances attendance at language, regional and technical language courses offered by state or state-recognised German universities and affiliated language schools. The one-time payment of the scholarship is €1134. Grants are not renewable.

Duration: Courses are at least 18 academic days long (maximum 5 days per week, excluding arrival and departure days), with at least 25 academic hours per week each. The courses are usually held from June to September. German language proficiency must be confirmed at the time of application.

Deadline for application: 1 December each year, 23:59 CET.
