KSU Delegation Presents University’s Experience in Italy
The Rector of KSU, Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, together with the First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk, the Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty Liubov Petukhova, and the Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department Yevheniia Revenko, participated in the inaugural meeting of the “Academies4Ukraine” project within the Erasmus+ program (KA220-HED Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education) in Offida, Italy, at the office of the project coordinator, i-Strategies company.
As Oleksandr Spivakovskiy notes, this project unites, besides KSU, two other Ukrainian universities – the Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and the Odessa National Technical University – along with two international partners: the University of Helsinki (Finland) and RTU - Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Latvia).
The project implementation consists of three stages:
"During the meeting, I presented two of our publications: «Black Swan» in the history of Kherson State University, or the Chronicles of the relocated institution and “Live to Win: Collection of Essays”. These publications, in different formats, tell the story of how we are going through the trials of war, the decisions and business processes behind everything, and how the unique story of everyone becomes part of the university’s and the country's history.
During the visit, together with Serhii Omelchuk, we participated in recording extended interviews that will be part of the documentary film 'Stories of Academic Resilience from Ukraine,' which we are creating together with our partners.
We also had a very warm and interesting meeting with the mayor of Offida, Luigi Massa, and one of the main stakeholders of the Marche region, the owner of the Ciù Ciù winery, Walter Bartolomei. We had the opportunity to tell them about the situation in Ukraine and present our unique publications. We showed our partners a video about how the winery of Prince Trubetskoi was before and after the devastating armed aggression.
We are sincerely grateful to the project coordinator of Academies4Ukraine, Mr. Gianluca Vagnarelli, for the warm welcome, support, and interest in making Ukrainian universities stronger.
Thanks also to the National Erasmus+ Agency Indire in Italy for supporting the Academies4Ukraine project," noted Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.
