The educational project "IT for Uni: Bootcamp 2.0" for university managers has been completed

Kateryna Melnykova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, successfully completed a management and leadership training course for university managers offered by the IT Ukraine Association. The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Digital Transformation, and UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

Got it! Катерина Мельникова, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Kherson State University, completed the educational project "IT for Uni: Bootcamp" over a period of 10 weeks. This project, launched by the IT Ukraine Association, is designed for university managers and administrators.

 

The participants of the program had the opportunity to enhance their skills in educational services management, teamwork, marketing, digitalization, and international cooperation. The program consisted of 10 modules, 20 lectures, and 10 workshops on relevant topics such as modern educational program development tools, effective leadership, and project management.

In total, the project received 231 applications from 40 cities in Ukraine, from which 160 participants from 93 higher education institutions were selected. The official opening of the course took place on April 11, 2024, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Education and Science, and various partner companies including Softserve, Payoneer, Sigma Software, Globallogic, and others.

This initiative course is implemented by the IT Ukraine Association with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the general partner, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

Module 1: Modern Educational Program Development Tools

Zenoviy Veres (Solutions Architect, SoftServe; PhD candidate): Zenoviy shared his 18 years of experience at SoftServe and 9 years of teaching experience, discussing the development of educational programs that meet the needs of students and employers.

Andriy Pereyimbyda (Director of Talent Development Center, SoftServe): Andriy, with 32 years of teaching experience and 19 years at SoftServe, covered innovative approaches in education during his lecture.

Tetyana Ivashkiv (Manager of Partnership Programs, IT STEP University): Tetyana focused on methods for building relationships with IT companies and the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and IT companies.

Module 2: People and Resource Management, Teamwork

Lecture: "Management as an Art: Good Manager vs. Bad Manager" provided insights into qualities and effective approaches of a manager, supported by practical examples and recommendations.

Lyubov Danilina (Country Manager, Payoneer Ukraine): Lyubov discussed the importance of communication within a team and achieving desired outcomes through effective communication strategies.

Olena Mosiichuk (R&D Manager, Ukrainian Startup Fund): Workshop on "Supporting Startup Culture Development in Universities," emphasizing the importance of startup support at the university level.

Module 3: Project Management

Olga Kravchuk (Training and Development Specialist, Sigma Software): Lecture on "Emotional Intelligence" highlighted its significance in project management and strategies for developing and effectively utilizing emotional intelligence in IT.

Olga Oseredchuk (Head of Educational Programs, Sigma Software): Lecture on "Leadership and Motivation" covered making education engaging, educational marketing, and adult education.

Anastasiia Nakonechna (Director of Partnership Programs, PMI Ukraine Chapter): Workshop on "Useful Project Management Tools for Educational Product Development (Stakeholders, Communication, Risks)" stressed effective stakeholder communication, risk management, and project adaptation in distance learning.

Module 4: Effective Communication

Lecture: "Effective Communication with Employees and Colleagues" highlighted the importance of proper workplace communication and provided practical tips for improving interactions with colleagues and subordinates.

Anton Muzhailo (Senior Solution Architect, Globallogic): Lecture on "Specific Communication Skills" shared experience in launching new projects and technical consultations during client negotiations.

Module 5: Leadership and People Skills of an Effective Manager

Yulia Zembal (Head of HR Recruitment, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group): Lecture on "Build: How to Build an Effective Team of Top Performers" shared insights into international recruiting and the importance of a data-driven approach in recruitment.

Lecture on "Retain: How to Work with Motivation in a Successful and Autonomous Team" discussed strategies for retaining talented employees and creating a motivational environment.

Workshop on "Health and Energy in the Workplace" explored the importance of workplace health.

Module 6: Digitalization of Educational Processes

Dmytro Tsiliuk (Lecture on "Using Digital Tools to Diversify Risks") and "Innovative Approaches to Distance Learning: Remote as a New Reality" shared experience in digital educational platform leadership.

Workshop on "How to Ensure High-Quality Education Using Video Courses and Online Testing During War" by Bohdan Chupika.

Module 7: Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process

Volodymyr Melnyk (Lecture on "Creating AI Assistants Based on GPT for Improved Learning") and Marina Lytvynova and Vyacheslav Polinovsky's lecture on "Developing Online Courses and Quality Control of the Educational Process Using AI Tools."

Module 8: Marketing

Yuri Tereshchuk (Lecture on "B2B and B2C Basics of Marketing for the Education Sector") and "Marketing for Educational Institutions in 2024" covered marketing strategy.

Maxim Paraskev and Taras Kucheryavy's workshop on "Marketing Challenges for Higher Education Institutions" explored marketing and advertising strategies.

Module 9: International Cooperation and Modern Business

Lecture on "International Cooperation" and "Technological Transformation" by Yulia Smoilovska from Luxoft.

Closing workshop on "Web Design as an Elective" with Kateryna Krivopustova.

Module 10: Trends in Education 2024-2025

Ivan Mikheyev's lecture on "Creating and Using Interactive Educational Content" and Oleksandr Tkachenko's lecture on "Student Profiling for Career Growth."

Ksenia Stolbova's workshop on "Modern Educational Technologies and Their Practical Use."

The educational project "IT for Uni: Bootcamp 2.0" will significantly impact the improvement of educational and managerial processes in higher education institutions.
