SMART Learning: KSU Participates in a Large International Project
On May 25, 2023, an online working meeting was held with the participants and partners of the project “Students’ Personalised Learning Model, Based on the Virtual Learning Environment of Intellectual Tutoring “Learning with No Limits”” (SMART-PL).
During the meeting, the team from the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine presented the partners with the report on the results of the research “Benchmarking of the European and Ukrainian Practice of Applying a Personalised Approach to Learning” (D 2.1).
The data for the report were provided by all project participants. The document was prepared based on:
– Information received from European partner universities (including from their websites) on personalised learning practices;
– Information received from Ukrainian partner universities (including surveys of staff and students) to describe the current state/situation, understand existing gaps, and define tasks for the project’s implementation process.
The report was formed based on information regarding personalised learning (PL) received from European partner universities, covering the following areas:
– Key features of the PL model at the university;
– Institutional policy and PL;
– Infrastructure, environment, tools, technologies, digitalization, etc., for PL;
– Quality assurance systems at the university, etc. Ukrainian partner universities provided information on general issues regarding the implementation of PL at universities and conducted surveys among students and staff at higher education institutions in Ukraine.
From Kherson State University, the meeting was attended by the Rector of the University, Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic, Research and Education Affairs, Maksym Vinnyk, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Volodymyr Peschanenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Maksym Poltoratskyi, and Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department, Yevheniia Revenko.
