The Alpine-Adriatic University of Klagenfurt (Republic of Austria) invites students to study during the II semester of 2024/2025
The Austrian partner provided:
2 Erasmus+ scholarships (from 850 to 1100 euros per month)
2 scholarships from the university (800 euros per month)
The student pays for accommodation on his own.
Summer semester 2025 (March 2025 - June 2025)
Information on receiving an Erasmus+ scholarship:
1) Before starting the mobility, it is necessary to sign the Study Agreement (section "Before the start of mobility") must be signed by all three parties: the student, the higher educational institution and the host educational institution.
2) Upon arrival, fellows must go through the enrollment process and open an Austrian bank account. The scholarship will be transferred in full to their Austrian bank account.
3) The European Union (EU) recommends gaining 30 ECTS credit points per semester during the Erasmus+ semester. According to internal rules and regulations, exchange students must acquire at least 16 ECTS credit points at AAU. The minimum number of credits to be earned at AAU (3 ECTS credits per month) must be completed by Erasmus+ ICM students during their stay at the university. Please note that if students do not earn at least 3 ECTS credits per month at AAU, the Erasmus+ scholarship may be reduced accordingly and students may be asked to repay the scholarship in part or in full.
4) After completing the mobility, the students must submit a corresponding recognition report.

Duration of funding for a university scholarship: 4 to 5 months (5 months in case students wish to take an intensive German language course before or after the lecture period).
1) Upon arrival, fellows must go through the enrollment process and open an Austrian bank account. The scholarship will be transferred in full to their Austrian bank account. Please note that this process can take up to three weeks after we receive all the necessary documentation (bank account number, proof of enrollment, etc.).
2) The minimum number of credits is 16.
3) At the end of the exchange period, fellows will be required to submit to the International Office a copy of an academic transcript from AAU and a two-page essay reflecting on the exchange experience.
Selection criteria:
- knowledge of the English language;
- academic performance;
- motivation;
- availability of necessary documents.
Required documents:
1. Application for participation in the competition with a dean's visa and an indication of the average score of success.
2. A letter of motivation in English from the candidate (at least one page in length).
3. Letter of recommendation from the teacher/supervisor/dean, written in English.
4. The original extract from the individual study plan for the entire period of study signed by the rector in Ukrainian and translated into English.
5. Scanned copy of school certificate and application (original) and English translation (for bachelors).
6. Scanned copy of bachelor's diploma and translation into English (for masters).
7. High-quality photo in electronic format (as for a visa).
8. Scanned copy of foreign passport.
Documents must be submitted to the department of international initiatives and project activities.
On the day of the competition, the participant must be present and ready to present himself to the jury members, explain his motivation regarding the semester study at the Alpine-Adriatic University in Klagenfurt (Republic of Austria). On this day, based on the speeches and presentations of the participants, the members of the jury will choose students who will take part in the semester studies at the Alpine-Adriatic University in Klagenfurt (Republic of Austria).
