Successful visit of KSU teachers within the framework of the ERASMUS+ BURN project at the University of Latvia

The Academic Council of the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology approved the report of the Department of Psychology

From 23 to 27 September 2024, a study visit was held as part of the Erasmus+ BURN project "Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation" at the University of Latvia in Riga, Latvia. The project is aimed at disseminating best practices in the field of psychological support for university communities affected by the war.

During the visit, mental health professionals, teachers and representatives of Ukrainian universities had the opportunity to learn about Latvian approaches to training psychologists, promoting mental health in schools and strategies for intervening in cases of psychological trauma. Kherson State University was represented at the meeting by Ruslana Bilous, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Valentyna Kalenchuk, Lecturer at the Department of Psychology.

This is an important professional exchange and a significant contribution to the restoration and strengthening of the mental health of Ukrainian society.
