At the Faculty of Business and Law of Kherson State University, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Strategic Priorities for the Development of Economy, Management, Service Sector, and Law in the Context of Integration Processes" has begun.
The event is a longstanding tradition at Kherson State University (KSU) and has been held for several years. This year, it gathered about 100 participants, including educators and researchers from Ukraine, Poland, and Slovakia.
The conference was opened by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, Kateryna Melnikova, who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in developing new strategies and ideas that can help society grow strong and positively.
"This conference provides a unique opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the fields of economics, law, management, and services. Together, we will share valuable insights and explore key paths for future development. So, let's focus on making our time here truly productive. Thank you for joining, and I wish us all a productive and inspiring experience," the dean noted.
The first vice-rector of KSU, Serhii Omelchuk, welcomed the participants, highlighting the multidisciplinary nature of the conference, as it encompasses law, economics, and service industries.
"These are the research areas fostered at all levels of higher education within the faculty, representing the work of strong academic schools recognized both in Ukraine and beyond. The Faculty of Business and Law has well-established academic traditions, publications of Category 'B', and experts affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Science," Omelchuk emphasized, acknowledging the faculty’s achievements.
Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kliutsevskyi, remarked on the symbolic timing of the conference, held just before the anniversary of Kherson's liberation from Russian occupation:
"To plan the reconstruction of the Kherson region, we need to start with a strategy, which involves analyzing the real economy sectors, human capital, and resources, and drafting a plan. With the help of scholars, we can do this carefully and thoughtfully. Thus, this conference is an essential component in Kherson's recovery," emphasized Kliutsevskyi.

The event is organized by the Faculty of Business and Law at KSU, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Kherson Regional State Administration, Kyiv National Economic University named after V. Hetman, National Aviation University, Podillia State University, University of Presov (Slovakia), Academy of Economics and Humanities (Poland), and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Poland).
The conference will take place from November 7-8 and is dedicated to the 107th anniversary of Kherson State University.
