Trainings  «Opportunities of open educational platforms for students and teacher. Using SMART online information and diagnostic platform for teachers and students»

for representatives of Ukrainian partner universities within the framework of the SMART-PL project

From November 11 to 13, 2024, as part of the implementation of the project “Students’ Personalised Learning Model, Based on the Virtual Learning Environment of Intellectual Tutoring ‘Learning with No Limits’ (SMART-PL),” a series of training sessions was held on the topic: "Students’ Personalised Learning Model, Based on the Virtual Learning Environment of Intellectual Tutoring "Learning with No Limits" (SMART-PL) for representative of Ukrainian partner universities. 

The SMART-PL project is aimed at implementing European student-centered learning experiences and enhancing the role of learners in ensuring the quality of higher education. Due to the project, students have the opportunity to develop skills at their own pace, independently assess their achievements, and personalize and adjust learning trajectories, goals, and content according to their individual needs. This will help increase motivation for learning and, through the use of hybrid technologies, ensure effective involvement in the educational process for both students and teachers with limited abilities.

The organizer of the training sessions was Khmelnytsky National University. The events were moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Khmelnytsky National University, Professor Tetiana Hovorushchenko. Among the invited speakers were Prof. Serhii Lysenko, Prof. Yelyzaveta Hnatchuk, Dr. Olha Pavlova, and Dr. Iryna Zasornova.

Representatives from partner universities in Ukraine participated in the event, including:

- Kherson State University.

- V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

- Odesa Polytechnic National University.

- Kryvyi Rih National University.

Kherson State University was represented at the training sessions by: the Vice-Rector for Digitization, Innovations, Investments, Research and Education, Oleksandr Lemeshchuk; the Head of the Digital Infrastructure Department, Volodymyr Kutyshchev; and the Professor of the Department of Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Economic Cybernetics, Vitalii Kobets, the developer of test databases for the SMART online platform.

 

The main topics of the training sessions were:

- Personalised approach to learning.

- Types of tests and their features.

- Basics of testology and the science of testing.

- The procedure for creating tests on the SMART platform.

- Administration and management of the platform.

The training sessions play an important role in developing competence in the use of modern educational technologies, helping to master tools for data analysis, knowledge diagnostics, and adaptive learning. Additionally, the open SMART platform stands out for its accessibility of materials, ease of use, and variety of educational resources, which will allow for adaptation to the individual needs of users and the implementation of innovative approaches to learning.
