KSU Vice-Rector for Digitalization Takes Part in Technical Meeting on DigiUni Project

On January 23-24, a technical group meeting was held at the Metropolitan Sheptytsky Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv to model the concept of the DigiPlatform platform, which is to be created within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project “Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative” - DigiUni.

Kherson State University was represented at the meeting by Vice-Rector for Digitalization Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, who is a member of the technical group.

DigiPlatform is a transformational digital learning environment designed to unite and strengthen the educational capabilities of the project's partner universities. As a key advisory body to the DigiUni Project Board and Steering Committee, the technical team plays an important role in shaping the design and functionality of the platform.

Members of the ten Ukrainian partner universities, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance of Ukraine actively participated in the discussion.

Key results of the meeting:

- a common vision of DigiPlatform as a “digital umbrella”, integration of tools for course management, user authentication and analytics, and facilitation of academic mobility;

- agreement on the basic requirements of the platform, ensuring compatibility with existing university educational platforms;

- continuing to develop a detailed technical specification for the development of the DigiPlatform, which will act as a unified system and will be able to connect existing learning management systems (LMS) within the partnership.

At the technical meeting, we determined the configuration of the platform through discussion based on the experience of foreign project partners and our own vision. It was a pleasure to work in an atmosphere of constructive and professionalism. I am grateful to my colleagues for their team spirit, for their sense of common goals, and for their desire to create a truly innovative digital educational ecosystem,” Oleksandr Lemeshchuk said.

The results of the meeting will be presented at the next meeting of the DigiUni project Coordination Committee.
