KSU Rector Met with Students Studying in Poland under the Double Degree Program

During a working visit to Poland, the Rector of Kherson State University, Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, met with the Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, Zbigniew Osadowski, as well as with students from the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism who are currently studying at both universities under the double degree program.

Kherson State University offers many international mobility programs, giving motivated students the opportunity to receive high-quality education at leading universities in the EU, Canada, and the USA.

KSU has maintained long-term cooperation with Pomeranian University in Słupsk, particularly within the framework of the double degree program. Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy expressed gratitude to Rector Zbigniew Osadowski for his consistent efforts in developing international mobility programs.

Currently, nine KSU students are studying at Pomeranian University under the double degree program in history, Polish philology, German philology, and computer science. Additionally, one KSU student is studying there as part of a semester exchange program.

Yuliia Derkach, Anna Stupina, and Anastasiia Dzhura shared that they are pleasantly surprised by the warm attitude of Polish people and professors. Since education in Ukraine is mostly online due to current conditions, they especially enjoy in-person communication with teachers and students from different countries at Pomeranian University.

“The girls see great prospects in the opportunity to improve their foreign language skills and eventually obtain two diplomas. After completing their studies, they plan to return to Ukraine. For now, along with their academic pursuits, they also act as student ambassadors — sharing what is happening in Ukraine and gently introducing their friends to Ukrainian culture. They are open-minded, intelligent, educated, and well-acquainted with multiculturalism,” shared Rector Spivakovskiy after the meeting.
