KSU Team Participates in the First Meeting with Coordinators and Partners of the ERASMUS+ KA220-HED Project on Strengthening Higher Education Resilience
On the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day and State Flag Day, the team from Kherson State University participated in the first meeting with coordinators and partners of the new major ERASMUS+ KA220-HED project – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education – "Academies4Ukraine - Strengthen Higher Education Resilience in Ukraine and the European Union."
Rector of KSU Oleksandr Spivakovskiy emphasized that this is highly symbolic, as the project is focused on strengthening the resilience of higher education in both Ukraine and the European Union.
"During a two-minute self-presentation, I talked about the importance of European community support for the Ukrainian educational resistance to full-scale war, using our university as an example. Our university created and later presented (and continues to do so) its own chronicles of life as a relocated institution, where the staff did not succumb to the pressure of the occupiers, continued working, providing quality education, and improving its position in both Ukrainian and international rankings. This refers to the publication «Black Swan» in the history of Kherson State University, or the Chronicles of the relocated institution."
"We are still continuing to document our activities and study the history of Kherson's resistance."
Together with partners – University of Helsinki, Riga Technical University, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, and Odesa National Technological University – the team will continue to work on three key areas:
Oleksandr Spivakovskiy also expressed thanks to the project coordinators – representatives of the innovative startup company i-strategies (Italy), Gianluca Vagnerelli and Alessio Ceci, for their guidance on the project and the outline of its implementation roadmap.
"Let's keep moving forward!" – concluded Spivakovskiy.
