Kherson State University Wins Erasmus+ International Project for the Third Time
The team from the Department of Psychology at Kherson State University has once again become a participant in the Erasmus+ CBHE project “BURN.” This initiative serves as a platform for collaboration between EU institutions from Estonia, Germany, and Latvia, along with five Ukrainian universities.
These Ukrainian institutions include Kherson State University, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University, and the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages at Donbas State Pedagogical University.
Through this project, Ukrainian participants will have a unique opportunity not only to adopt and implement European best practices but also to contribute their own expertise in enhancing educational and psychological services. The initiative aims to provide psychological support, strengthen international cooperation, and contribute to Ukraine’s post-war recovery efforts.
Rector of Kherson State University, Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, emphasized:
“Due to the full-scale war in Ukraine, many people are in urgent need of psychological recovery and support as they cope with trauma, exhaustion, and distress. Within this project, we will introduce educational courses, training sessions, and webinars, facilitate expert mobility, and promote experience exchange. This will allow us to integrate the best practices and insights from project specialists to support those affected by the war.
The project budget allocated to our university is approximately €44,000.
I am sincerely proud that Ukrainian specialists, through their dedication and hard work, continue to demonstrate the resilience of our educators and researchers. I firmly believe that this international support will play a crucial role in rebuilding and advancing Ukraine after our victory and russia’s capitulation.
Congratulations to our esteemed research team: Professor of the Department, Doctor of Psychology Ihor Popovych; Head of the Department of Psychology, PhD in Psychology Olena Tanasiichuk; Professor of the Department, Doctor of Psychology Anzhelika Kolli-Shamne; and Associate Professor, PhD in Psychology Nataliia Tavrovetska.
A special thank you goes to the Vice-Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian, Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs, Doctor of Philology Alla Tsapiv, for her efforts in project administration and professional English-language communication. Only forward!”
