Finance students of Kherson State University took a behind-the-scenes look at banking

У межах очного тижня здобувачі спеціальності "Фінанси, банківська справа та страхування" відвідали Ідея Банк в Івано-Франківську. Студенти мали унікальну нагоду побачити, як функціонують ключові підрозділи сучасного банку — від фронт-офісу до бекенд-операцій.

The third day of the on-site week for students of the "Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Market" program was incredibly eventful — students from Kherson State University visited the Idea Bank office in Ivano-Frankivsk and took a "live tour" of the bank’s processes, seeing firsthand how one of Ukraine's leading banks operates.

🔸 Contact Center
This is not just about making calls. At Idea Bank, the call center handles client inquiries regarding problematic debts.
Our students learned:
▪️ The most effective communication methods with debtors;
▪️ How to maintain ethical communication even in difficult situations;
▪️ What “timing the conversation” means and what “triggers” affect decision-making;
▪️ How scripts are used to regain trust.
They also heard about a few "fumbles" from practice that left no one indifferent 😉

🔸 Credit Department
Here, students saw how the bank evaluates a client’s creditworthiness, what risks are taken into account when issuing loans, and how the scoring system works. They also discussed the importance of process automation — the true digital heart of the bank.

🔸 Retail Banking Department
The students realized that customer trust is built through daily care: from analyzing financial standing to selecting banking products that genuinely solve problems. True customer orientation is felt here.

🔸 Corporate Banking Department
The students discovered the specifics of business servicing: developing individual terms, supporting deals, negotiations, and building long-term partnerships. This area proved to be a real challenge, but also a huge source of motivation.

🔸 Live Communication with Bankers
The students had the opportunity to speak with Marina Karkich, the branch manager at Idea Bank, who shared personal insights, talked about leadership within the team, working with clients, and the path of professional growth in the banking sector. These tips will definitely stay with our students for a long time.
