A student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports organized and held the Kolomyia Swimming Championship for the first time in 30 years!
On June 12, 2025, the Kolomyia Swimming Championship took place at the Graphite swimming pool—for the first time in over 30 years!
The initiator and organizer of the event was Olena Fedosyuk, a student of the Physical Culture and Sports educational program, who implemented this idea during a week of in-person training.
The championship was attended by 147 athletes, from the youngest to veterans, including:
21 veterans, 5 of whom were disabled, combatants
14 children from an inclusive subgroup, including Special Olympics winners
11 children aged 4–6, for whom this was their first 25 meters!
Representatives of all schools in the Kolomyia TG
10 teams competed in relays for the city cup
The oldest participant was 62 years old
There were 46 races in 4 styles, 115 medals and 6 cups were awarded!
