Thursday, September 18, 2025

From September 15th to 17th, a working session for the Erasmus+ SMART-PL project was held in Wrocław, Poland, hosted by Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The project aims to implement a personalized learning model based on the "Learning Without Borders" intelligent virtual tutoring system. Kherson State University (KSU) is one of 11 consortium partners, and was represented by Dean Tetiana Goncharenko.

The meeting focused on the opportunities for using artificial intelligence and AI personas in education. During the workshops, participants worked with Gemini and ChatGPT, creating AI characters to consider problems from different perspectives and using the SCAMPER method to generate creative ideas. Practical tasks included solving urban traffic problems and designing special dishes for people with visual impairments.

KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy emphasized that participation in the project "opens up new opportunities for the development of digital competencies among faculty and students, and strengthens the university's international cooperation." Dean Tetiana Goncharenko concluded that the experience of participating in the project provides a new perspective on the use of AI, develops creative thinking, and increases motivation. She also expressed gratitude to the organizers and the KSU rectorate for the opportunity to join the project.
