The test will be held for the fourth time, initiated by the National Media Literacy Project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications.
The test will help Ukrainians check their resilience to fakes and manipulations and experience how media literacy serves as the best protection against information chaos.
The test's five thematic blocks cover a total of 25 questions. The topics are:
Media Literacy and Fact-Checking
Media: Reliability and Impact of Information
Artificial Intelligence
Social Networks
Online Safety and Countering Fraud
The test will be available from October 29 at 09:30 on the website: https://filter.mcsc.gov.ua/test2025/. Access to the test will be open for 3 days until October 31 at 23:59.
The "Filter" team will publish the correct answers within two weeks after the test.
Participants who score the highest number of points will have the chance to win one of 25 prizes from the project's partners—art throws featuring motifs from Maria Prymachenko's "Beasts in Bolotnia" series and power banks. Winners will be determined by a randomizer.
To enter the prize draw, the test can only be taken once: repeated attempts will not be counted for the draw participation.
In 2024, a record number of Ukrainians took the test: 236,237 participants started the test, and 76,323 completed it fully. In 2023, 13,980 participants finished the test.
The National Media Literacy Test is implemented by the National Media Literacy Project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine in partnership with the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law, with the support of UNDP Ukraine and funding from the Government of Japan.
