Conference "Theory and Practice of Social Work: Experience, Current State, Strategies"
On November 5, 2025, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference for Higher Education Students and Young Scientists "Theory and Practice of Social Work: Experience, Current State, Strategies" was held.
The conference created a platform for discussing current issues and challenges in the field of social work.
The following delivered welcoming remarks: First Vice-Rector of Kherson State University Serhiy Omelchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology of KhSU Iryna Shaposhnykova, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Social Work of KhSU Serhiy Kostyuchkov.
During the conference, the final pre-defense of the qualification works of the 2nd year applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education, specialties 231 Social Work of full-time and part-time study was held. The 1st year postgraduate students of the specialty I10 Social Work and Counseling, as well as the 3rd year postgraduate students of the specialty 231 Social Work, presented their research proposals. The applicants highlighted the problems of organizing social work in the post-war situation; social work with various categories of persons in need of social support; promising areas of social work in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine; development of personality and professional skills of a social work specialist; innovative technologies of social work.
