Discussion “Studying Abroad: Challenges and Prospects”

On November 12, 2025, the Faculty of Pedagogy at Kherson State University hosted a discussion titled “Studying Abroad: Challenges and Prospects.” The event brought together undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and group curators.

The discussion was moderated by Anastasiia Volianiuk, Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy for International Affairs and Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education.

During the discussion, participants examined the main risks and challenges of studying abroad, including language barriers, adapting to a new academic culture, financial stability, and managing academic workload. They also explored strategies for overcoming these difficulties, ranging from language preparation to seeking support from international students.

Graduate student Karina Tkachenko shared her experience participating in international internships in Poland, highlighting the opportunities offered by academic mobility and the importance of intercultural interaction for the professional development of future educators.

At the conclusion of the event, participants discussed prospects for further international cooperation and submitting applications for semester exchange programs at Pomeranian University in Słupsk and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The event was held in a friendly atmosphere and represented an important step in promoting international opportunities among students of the Faculty of Pedagogy at Kherson State University.
