November 25 — The Faculty of Computer Sciences, Physics, and Mathematics (FCSPM) hosted a sports and recreational event: a workshop on Jakkolo (also known as Dutch Shuffleboard). This board game requires high precision, strategic thinking, and manual dexterity.
The masterclass was conducted by K.S. Kostrikova, Acting Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education.
This initiative directly contributes to the development of our students' general competencies, specifically the ability to utilize various forms of physical activity for active recreation and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This form of active leisure serves as an ideal method for:
Psychological relief and stress management during the educational process;
Developing visual estimation and coordination, which is particularly beneficial for specialists facing high visual and mental strain, such as prolonged computer work;
Consciously maintaining a healthy lifestyle by introducing non-typical yet effective forms of physical activity.
The Faculty of Computer Sciences, Physics, and Mathematics expresses its gratitude to K.S. Kostrikova for the engaging workshop.
