On December 2, 2025, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor T.M. Shvets took part in an online webinar for internally displaced persons and individuals affected by the armed aggression against Ukraine on the topic: 'Granting the status of a child affected by war'. The event was organized by the NGO 'Revival of Ukraine' with the support of the Directorate for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, as well as the Secretariat of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights.

The webinar was implemented within the framework of a grant provided by the Council of Europe project 'Strengthening judicial and non-judicial remedies for the protection of the rights of persons affected by the war in Ukraine'

The webinar was dedicated to pressing issues of today: the procedure and conditions for granting the status of a child affected by military actions and armed conflicts; key problematic aspects and ways to address them. With a welcoming speech, Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasized that '...a series of such webinars is being held for internally displaced persons to help them understand their rights, provide advice, indicate whom they can turn to and how to act in difficult life situations, as well as what still needs to be changed, supplemented, and highlighted. The Ombudsman’s institution sees and hears internally displaced persons in order to help them.' Questions from webinar participants were answered professionally and comprehensively by representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine and the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
