On December 17, 2025, a guest lecture by Professor Serhii Kostyuchkov was held via the Zoom application for higher education students majoring in “Journalism” at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. The topic of the lecture — “Bioethical Imperatives of Counteracting Neurocognitive Hacking: A Biophilosophical Interpretation” — aroused significant interest among the audience.

In his presentation, Professor S. Kostyuchkov focused on the problems of the influence of neurotechnologies and digital tools on human consciousness, the issues of protecting the cognitive autonomy of the individual, as well as the bioethical principles that should serve as the foundation for counteracting manipulations of human thinking in the modern information space.

Special attention was devoted to the philosophical reflection on the concept of neurocognitive hacking and its possible social, cultural, and moral consequences. After the lecture, a discussion was held with faculty members and students, who had the opportunity to ask questions, express their own views, and join the debate on the role of philosophy in shaping critical thinking and ethical guidelines for future professionals. Professor S. Kostyuchkov also acquainted the audience with the peculiarities of Kherson State University’s functioning during wartime as a relocated institution of higher education and invited those interested to enroll in the educational programs “Social Work and Counseling” and “Sociology.”
