Career‑orientation online meeting with 11th‑grade students of Kherson Lyceum No. 52 “Perspektyva”.
Today, January 30, 2026, an online meeting was held between 11th‑grade students of Kherson Lyceum No. 52 “Perspektyva” and representatives of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, and Social Work of Kherson State University.
The Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, History, and Sociology, Doctor of Sociological Sciences Iryna SHAPOSHNYKOVA, together with the Head of the Department Serhii KOSTIUCHKOV, Deputy Dean Tetiana SHVETS, and Associate Professor Tetiana CHERKASHYNA, presented the faculty’s activities and emphasized the critical importance of the professions of sociologist and social worker in today’s realities.
Special attention was given to the need for highly qualified specialists in the students’ hometown of Kherson.
The lyceum students were introduced to the degree programs “Sociology” and “Social Work and Counseling,” and were also informed about the work of the University Center for Mental Health and the socio‑psychological service.
The head of the faculty’s student council and third‑year student, Rostyslav EVSIUKOV, shared information about how students, even during their studies, are involved in providing socio‑psychological assistance to the population and participate in volunteering.
Special attention was given to the rules for submitting applications, the importance of the NMT (National Multi‑Subject Test), and the opportunities offered by preparatory courses at KSU.
