Open guest lecture "Resources of art therapy accompanied by families raising children with autism"
On February 20, 2026, the Department of Psychology held an open guest lecture for applicants, colleagues and all interested parties. The lecture on the topic "Resources of art therapy accompanied by families raising children with autism" was conducted by Taran Oksana Petrivna, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Special and Inclusive Education of Boris Grinchenko Kyiv Capital University.
The event was held online on the Zoom platform. Key issues of special psychology were discussed during the lecture:
• the main tasks of supporting families raising children with special educational needs;
• resource approaches in working with families;
• the model of the arts pipeline and its practical application;
• art support for children and parents.
The lecture aroused the active interest of the audience: students of various specialties asked numerous questions and discussed the practical aspects of applying art therapy methods in working with families.
The event contributed to the deepening of knowledge about resource approaches in psychological support and opened opportunities for further professional discussion and exchange of experience.
