From March 28 to April 2, Chernivtsi hosted the Stage III of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Physics. Tetiana Goncharenko, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics (FCSM) at Kherson State University (KSU), joined the expert jury to evaluate the knowledge of Ukraine's most talented students.
Participation in such high-level events is an essential component of the scientific and pedagogical activities of the FCSM. Following the conclusion of the Olympiad, Tetiana Honcharenko shared her impressions:
"For me, this was a great responsibility, a challenge, and an opportunity to glimpse into the future of our science. Witnessing the solutions to complex theoretical and experimental problems, seeing the eyes of passionate, intellectual, and bright students during task reviews, and participating in spirited discussions with colleagues and students during appeals—this is the best motivation for me as an educator and a scientist.
A few takeaways from the results:
The level of the participants' preparation is impressive, despite all the challenges of our time.
Chernivtsi welcomed us with an incredible atmosphere and hospitality.
Physics in Ukraine remains vibrant as long as we have such inquisitive and purposeful children!
I extend my sincere gratitude to the Chair of the Jury, Professor Ihor Anisimov, and the Deputy Chair, Maksym Pashko, as well as to all the organizers for the high standard of the event. I also thank my colleagues for their professional cooperation!
Special gratitude goes to Kherson State University and personally to Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky for the opportunity to represent our home university at such a prestigious event!"
The Faculty congratulates the winners of the Olympiad and sincerely wishes all participants to never stop at what they have achieved and to continue their journey in science!
