Oleksandr Sypko, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism and Arts at Kharkiv State University, won third prize in the ‘Article’ category in the student age group at the 16th All-Ukrainian ‘I Am a Journalist!’ competition.

The event was attended by 1,355 participants from various regions of Ukraine, among whom Oleksandra was recognised. Entries were submitted in three categories and across four age groups.
The theme of this year’s entries was ‘I Will Remember’. Within this framework, participants prepared materials about people, events and phenomena that remain in the personal or collective memory of Ukrainians and are of public significance.
The academic supervisor, Andrii Solomakhin, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian and Slavic Philology and Journalism at Kharkiv State University and Candidate of Philological Sciences, received thanks for preparing the winner.
We warmly congratulate Oleksandr on his distinction in the All-Ukrainian competition and wish him inspiration, new achievements and confident professional growth.
We would also like to express our gratitude to academic supervisor Andrii Solomakhin for the high standard of the student’s preparation and his support in working on the competition entry.
