Associate Professor of the Faculty of Pedagogy Delivered an Online Lecture at the Ukrainian Educational Hub in the USA
Iryna Tsiupak, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Kherson State University, served as a speaker at the international online event “Offline Life: How to Spend Time Enjoyably Without a Phone,” organized by EduHub in USA – the Ukrainian Educational Hub in the United States.
The event brought together parents, educators, and everyone interested in the harmonious development of children and adolescents in today’s digital society. During the meeting, participants discussed the pressing issue of excessive gadget use and explored effective ways to organize meaningful leisure activities without smartphones and tablets.
Iryna Tsiupak shared her professional and practical experience of working with children, spoke about the factors that motivate children to use digital devices, and presented effective approaches to organizing quality family leisure time. Particular attention was given to the role of play-based activities, face-to-face communication, and collaborative creativity in developing children’s attention, imagination, communication skills, and strengthening emotional bonds between parents and children.
Participants received practical recommendations on incorporating offline activities into everyday life, learned about the educational potential of board games for child development, and had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with the expert.
The participation of a Kherson State University associate professor in international educational outreach initiatives represents an important contribution to the promotion of modern pedagogical approaches, support for Ukrainian families abroad, and the dissemination of best practices in child upbringing and development.
