Talents study at KSU!

On February, 3 in the library by Lesya Ukrainka the winners of the 5th Mykola Bratan City Literary Competition were awarded. The competitors presented collections of their creative works. Among the winners were talented students of the faculty - Vasylyna Klimuk (08-311 group) and Valentyna Netrebych (08-161 group).

The competition was held in the categories "Poetry" and "Prose" in three age categories: pupils, students, adult authors. The youth of our educational institution also took part in it, showed their creative abilities and presented their works to the jury. According to the results of the competition, students of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism won prizes in several nominations.

Thus, third-year student Vasylyna Klimuk took the first place in the category "Poetry among student youth." According to the winner, she has been writing poems since the fifth grade and dreams of releasing her own collection of works in the future.

The second place in the nomination "Student Youth Prose" was won by Valentina Netrebych, a first-year student majoring in Journalism. This was not her first competition. She has been participating in various literary contests since the age of 11, was a nominee for the “Young Coronation” Contest and recently became one of the superfinalists of the all-Ukrainian show "Christmas Dream".

The literary competition was organized by the Department of Culture of the Kherson City Council and the Kherson Centralized Library System and is held every two years. The winners were presented with awards and souvenirs. They also had the opportunity to address the users of the library and read to the audience their works which were included into the 5th collection.
