KSU Rector Spoke About the Practical Implementation of a New International Project

Kherson State University is participating in the new international “Academies4Ukraine” project under the Erasmus+ program (KA220-HED - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education).

The kick-off meeting of all project participants took place in Offida, Italy. In addition to Kherson State University, the project includes two other Ukrainian universities – Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and Odesa National University of Technologies – as well as two international partners: the University of Helsinki (Finland) and RTU – Rīga Technical University (Latvia).

The project coordinator is Gianluca Vagnarelli, a representative of i-strategies. Kherson State University was represented at the meeting by Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk, Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department Yevheniia Revenko, and Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty Liubov Petukhova.

Following the meeting, Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy announced that the team is now proceeding with the practical implementation of the project.

"We have already developed a clear roadmap with specific timelines and expected results, formed the university’s working group, and established the roles of each partner. The project includes the creation and dissemination of the documentary film ‘Stories of Academic Resilience in Ukraine’, the exchange of best practices for psychological support of displaced students from Ukrainian universities, and the development of a digital handbook titled ‘Guide to Implementing University Psychological Support Services for Students’.

I thank my colleagues – First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk, Vice-Rectors Alla Tsapiv and Maksym Vinnyk, Yevheniia Revenko (Head of International Initiatives and Project Management Department), Iryna Popova (Chief Accountant), Nataliia Sundrunova (Deputy Chief Accountant), and Oksana Kazakova (Head of the Press Center) – for their dedicated work," said Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.

Project partners also discussed financial management and agreed on the action plan for the near future. The project is scheduled for two years.
