Socio-humanitarian activities at the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism, as an important component of the educational process at Kherson State University, are aimed at acquiring soft skils, forming a student's personality, developing his potential, creativity, ability to self-improvement through effective organization of educational activities students, their free time, satisfaction of educational, cognitive, research and cultural needs.
The main vectors of social and humanitarian activities at the faculty are the acquisition of social experience by students, inheritance of spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people, achievement of high culture of interethnic relations, formation of students' traits of Ukrainian citizenship, spirituality, artistic and aesthetic, legal, ecological, valeological, gender culture.
The organization of social and humanitarian activities at the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism is carried out with the help of the Rector's Office, Dean's Office, Departments, Curators, Teachers, Student Self-Government and the activity of students themselves.
Students actively participate in the social life of the faculty and university, are participants and winners of various competitions (vocal, choreographic, etc.), art festivals ("Debut", "Young Wave", "Young Ukraine"), sports competitions. The student council of the faculty successfully operates a press center, conducts volunteer work, charitable actions to help children deprived of parental care, animal shelters.
Socio-humanitarian activities at the faculty are organically combined with the process of student learning, mastering the sciences, the richness of national and world culture.
