A working meeting was held at the Scientific Library of Kherson State University to discuss changes to the Procedure for Forming the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine and current requirements for scientific journals. The meeting was attended by Valeria Serhiivna Blakh, Head of the Intellectual Property Department, as well as representatives of the Scientific Library.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day
On January 27, Ukraine and the world commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. The International Holocaust Remembrance Day was established by the decision of the UN General Assembly on November 1, 2005. The memorable date is celebrated annually on January 27, because it was on this day in 1945 that the prisoners of the largest Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Auschwitz were liberated during World War II. During the existence of this concentration camp, from 1.5 to 2.2 million people died there, according to various estimates. In total, 6 million Jews died in concentration camps and in the occupied territories during World War II, of which about 1.5 million were children.
The Scientific Library of the KhSU has prepared for your attention a virtual exhibition dedicated to the victims of Nazi terror during World War II. The exhibition presents documents, memories, and photo chronicles that reveal various aspects of this tragedy, its causes, and consequences.

The KhSU Scientific Library has prepared information from open sources on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Dmytro Ivanovich Yavornytsky, an outstanding Ukrainian historian, archaeologist, ethnographer, folklorist, lexicographer, writer, researcher of the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks, museologist, full member of the National Scientific School (1914) and the Academy of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1929).Author of over 1,500 scientific works.One of the first to study in detail the entire history of the Zaporozhian Cossacks and the history of the Dnieper rapids.One of the founders of the O. M. Poly Regional Museum of Local Lore.
