The monograph Ancient forgotten parks of Kherson region was published

Recently published monograph dedicated to the ancient forgotten parks of Kherson region. The annotation to the monograph states: “ The monograph is opens the history and the present of parks create in the XVIII–XX centuries remained until our times. For the first time, the complete species lists of the vascular plants (dendroflora and herbaceous plants), epiphytic mosses and lichens of the ancient parks of the Kherson region in the Bekhtery, Novovorontsovka, Novoolek- sandrivka, Odzhigol, Oleksiivka, Preobrazhenka, Rozdolne, Stara Zburivka, Chkalove, Chornomorske, Kherson (Kazen- nyi Sad), Khorly, Arkhangelsk Forest, Nedogirsk Forest, Odzhigolsk Forest, Ivanivsk Forest, Novodmytrivsk Forest, Novochornomorsk Forest, Oleshkivsk Pine Forest, Reimersk Forest. The story of the old and memorial trees and it conservation are given”.

Almost the entire staff of the Department of Botany during the years 2017-2019 worked on the monograph under the direction of Professor Alexander Khodosovtsev. The lecturer at Stockholm University Braun Kuns is co-authors of book.

 This research is supported by the Swedish Science Council (Vetenskapsrådet) project N 2012-06112 ("How the East was won: Towards an ecological history of the Eurasian steppe" (2013-2019)).
