International academic mobility is a great chance to learn more about the culture of another country, learn a foreign language and gain educational experience for implementation in Ukraine. Kherson State University has been cooperating with the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk for a long time, so our students constantly have the opportunity to study and do internships at this institution in parallel with their studies at KhSU. This year, the Pomeranian Academy received the status of a University, which only confirms the high level of quality of the educational institution.
Currently, two students of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Anastasia Zheludenko and Anastasia Yaremchuk, are already studying at the Classical Pomeranian University in Slupsk under the Erasmus+ program. On June 2, the participants of academic mobility had the opportunity to meet with the Rector of Kherson State University, Professor Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Spivakovsky and the Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty, Professor Lyubov Yevgenivna Petukhova, who actually initiated such a long and meaningful cooperation with the Polish institution of higher education. Student Anastasia Zheludenko describes the event as follows: "The impressions from the meeting are simply unreal. We can share our impressions, and they are incredible, because we were able not only to see, but also to experience the foreign education system. The educational process at the university is interesting and full of adventures, teachers of the workshop. I learned a lot during this time and will bring a lot of new information to the walls of my native Kherson State University."
The girls emphasized that, unfortunately, our students still do not sufficiently understand how academic mobility can be useful for their professional growth and personal development. They shared their experience and impressions:
"First of all, participation in the program is a good and important experience that will help you learn something new and interesting, gain new skills, and also increase your level of knowledge.
Secondly, Erasmus+ offers many opportunities: trips to different cities of Poland, where you can learn about history, culture, cuisine, art, etc.; excursions; bonfires near the hostels, which provide an opportunity to meet people of different nationalities and make new friends; walks in the parks, and, most importantly, a scholarship that makes it possible to cover these expenses. Thirdly, teachers' attitude towards students is loyal and sincere, they are understanding and always try to help."
Anastasia Yaremchuk advises future participants of mobility not to be afraid and not to miss the chance: "If you have the opportunity to come to study under the Erasmus+ program, then you should not delay with the documents! you will be able to share your culture, because teachers and other students are interested in learning about Ukraine, the Ukrainian language, culture, and customs. There are comfortable conditions for studying here, so if you have the opportunity, don't miss it."
We thank Oleksandr Volodymyrovych and Lyubov Yevhenivna for the established international relations and created opportunities for the professional development of our students - the human capital of the Kherson region.
We remind you that Kherson State University actively cooperates with educational institutions of many countries, so there are always prospects for academic mobility. Dear students, we are pleased to invite you to participate in international study programs, internships and grant projects! Specialists of the department of international relations and project activities of KhSU will provide you with professional advice and help you get an unforgettable experience.
