STATEMENT to the Multinational Family of Ukrainians and World Community

We are within an inch of war, blood and death!
Ukraine is a sovereign, independent, integral, unitary and democratic state the territory of which is indivisible and inviolable, where a person, his or her life, honor and dignity is protected by the state from any attempts.
Recent events in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea contradict the laws and common sense. On the eve of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko the following lines of his poem is of vital importance at this crucial moment: “Come to your senses! Human be, /Or you will rue it bitterly”.
The multinational academic and student staff of Kherson State University is against the stirring up national hatred, alienation of our lands and illegal actions of the Armed forces of Russia.

We say – no to war! We say – yes to the great, united and sovereign Ukraine!
We say – our strength is our national spirit! Unite for peace!
