Connecting generations

I took one look at the "Life of the Ukrainian Language Department" and couldn't stop myself. It contains a lot of newspaper clippings, programs, and, most interestingly, photographs. We always look at "how it was back then" with admiration.

Here is a production meeting, here is a meeting of the Faculty's Scientific and Methodological Council, here is a celebration (a beautiful, for some reason rarely used word), and here is a concert dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology, as well as photo reports from various scientific conferences, such as "Formation of a New Ukrainian Literary Language (on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of Pavlovsky's Grammar)", "The Epochal Importance of I. Kotliarevsky in the Formation of the National Literary Language". Pavlovsky's Grammar)", "The Epochal Importance of I. Kotliarevsky in the Formation of the National Ukrainian Literary Language", "Ukrainian Language and Literature: History, Current Status, and Development Prospects". By the way, these events brought together not only luminaries from different regions of the country (V. Nimchuk, K. Horodenska, N. Sologub, A. Hryshchenko, N. Huyvaniuk, O. Zadorozhny, L. Ryabets, L. Holomb, and many others), but also from abroad. For example, one of the photos shows wonderful researchers: Dinh Xiaomei and Li Yanchun "took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference "Lexicogrammatical Categories in the Functional Aspect", which was organized and held by the Department of Ukrainian Language..."

After looking through this collection, one is left with a pleasant mood, a smile from ear to ear and, probably, pride in such a gloriously active history of the Ukrainian Language Department.
