The Academic Council has made changes to the Procedure for Checking Plagiarism

      At the meeting of the Academic Council, on June 25, 2020, the issue of checking qualification works for academic plagiarism was considered.

   Taking into account the previous experience of testing qualification works, the Academic Council made a decision from 2020-2021 academic year. to conduct one official plagiarism check on the basis of the Scientific Library without limiting the independent number of checks before submitting the qualifying work for check to the Scientific Library.

   Therefore, in August 2020, at the meeting of the Academic Council, appropriate changes will be made to the Procedure for Detection and Prevention of Academic Plagiarism in Research Activities of KSU Higher Education Applicants.

   At the meeting of the Academic Council, on June 25, 2020, the issue of checking qualification works for academic plagiarism was considered. In total in the 2nd semester of 2019-2020 academic year. 952 works were checked, of which 622 were full-time and 330 were part-time. Results were summarized and suggestions were made to improve this process.

   Thus, the average level of originality of qualification works of SVO "bachelor" of full-time form of study at the university was 82.73%. While the correspondence form gained 81.94%. As for masters (1.9 years of study), the average level of originality of their work reached 89.65%. The highest level of uniqueness of qualifying works on a full-time basis was presented at the Faculty of Foreign Philology. It amounted to 88.37%. The faculty of physical education and sports became the leader in correspondence form (92.14%).
