"Living Library: What did the unique books tell us about?

On the occasion of the International Literacy Day, KSU held an interactive online event in the format of a "Living Library". The event was interesting because teachers acted as books for students.

The applicants were presented with three "books", each of which had to present its topic in a short time and convey new interesting information to the "readers".

Svitlana Klymovych's "book" was a relevant one for today, with the topic "Media Literacy is My Information Security." Here, the participants "read" about the analysis and dissemination of media information, had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, and once again remembered the importance of critical thinking.

Svitlana Martos spoke in detail about the linguistic portrait of Kherson and familiarized readers with the norms and anomalies of our city. According to the students, this topic seemed quite close to them and evoked memories of their hometown.

At the same time, Iryna Gaidaienko opened the curtain of history to her "readers" with the topic "The historical aspiration of our writing." In an interactive form, the teacher told about the development of the first Slavic alphabet and its transformation into the modern alphabet.

The event was organized by the Linguistic Education and Research Center of KSU. The participants liked the dynamic and unusual format. As a result, they had the opportunity to share their impressions and expressed their intention to participate in further meetings of the "living library". This shows the great potential and relevance of the new format. After all, it gives students the opportunity to develop in various fields. And self-development and comprehensive education are the main characteristics of a KSU student!
