How not to act on fakes?

Valentyna Pestushko (Fedorchuk), a 2nd-year student of Kherson State University majoring in Journalism 061, conducted a fact-checking training for Kherson residents at the SVOE educational training center.
The author's program included theoretical and practical parts.
During two hours, together with the participants, they learned:
- what to pay attention to before trusting the news and spreading it;
- how to distinguish a deepfake from a real video;
- what are "patriotic" fakes and why are they dangerous;
- how to determine from which country the administrators of the Facebook group are from, and which sources can be trusted. The acquired skills were applied to practical cases. Also, together with older participants, they set up messengers in order to protect their accounts from fraudsters
Today, the enemy is waging a large-scale information war, in which our weapon is media literacy!
