On March 15, 2019, the seminar "New standards, programs and textbooks - new and old problems of school history education" for teachers of history and social sciences disciplines took place in the reading room №5 of the Scientific Library.
The event was organized by the Center for Post-Graduate Education of the KSU together with the Ukrainian Institute for the Holocaust "Tkuma" with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Important guests were present at the workshop - Ihor Shchupak, Director of the Ukrainian Institute for the Holocaust, Tkuma, a member of the Ukrainian-Polish and Ukrainian-German Commissions of Historians, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, author of school textbooks for grades 4-11; Iryna Piskareva, teacher of the highest category, teacher-methodist, head of the educational department of the Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies "Tkuma", author of school textbooks for 5-6 grades and representatives of KSU.
Employees of the Scientific Library presented a book exhibition "There is no taboo on memory", which presented literature devoted to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
