On July 2, a productive meeting, organized by the public union "Osvitoria" as part of a study on updating the approach to pedagogical practice in the training of history, computer science, or mathematics teachers, took place at the faculty.
The meeting lasted almost two hours. It was moderated by Ms. Daria, a representative of Fama Agency, which conducts research together with the public union "Osvitoria."
During the meeting, Tetiana Honcharenko, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics; Volodymyr Tatochenko, Head of the Department of Algebra, Geometry, and Mathematical Analysis, Associate Professor; Olha Hnedkova, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering; and Halyna Mykhailenko, Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Work and Practices of the Faculty of Psychology, History, and Sociology, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, shared their experience in organizing internships at Kherson State University for educational programs preparing future teachers of mathematics, computer science, and history.

Artem Shevchenko, FCSFM Student, Wins Regional Chess Tournament
Artem Shevchenko, a second-year student specializing in Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics (FCSFM), has once again demonstrated a high level of athletic prowess.
From June 7 to June 21, 2025, the "I.Z. Postol Memorial" regional classical chess rating tournament was held in Odesa.
Artem secured first place in the tournament and was awarded a diploma by the Odesa Oblast Chess Federation, the Odesa Oblast Chess and Checkers Clubs Association, and the Children and Youth Sports School for Chess and Checkers.

"Information Systems and Technologies" Educational Program Successfully Accredited
Great news for the faculty: the educational and professional program "Information Systems and Technologies" at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education has been successfully accredited by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA). The accreditation was conducted under a simplified procedure.
Congratulations to the program guarantor, the academic staff of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and the students of the "Information Systems and Technologies" educational program on this important event!

The concluding session was an open conversation titled “Being There: A Resource-Based Meeting Without a Script”, which took place at the Center for Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing of the Ivano-Frankivsk office of Kherson State University.

May 29, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics held the fourth day of its intensive full-time study week. This day was dedicated to the development of practical skills, design thinking, and meetings with the university's leadership. The day's program included the training "IT-Camera! Create a Video Resume and Case" to enhance video content creation skills, a lecture by Vice-Rector O.I. Lemeshchuk "Why Does an IT Specialist Need Design Thinking?", which revealed the importance of a human-centered approach in development; and a meeting with the Rector of KSU, Professor O.V. Spivakovsky, who shared "Secrets of a Successful Person."

On May 26, 2025, a week of in-person learning began at the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics, promising to be rich and fruitful for both students and faculty.
The central event of the first day of in-person learning was a meeting for 3rd-4th year Bachelor's and 1st-year Master's students of IT specializations regarding their participation in testing within the framework of the SMART-PL project.
