Ivan Hradil (April 2, 1941 – May 1, 2020) was the Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Affairs, a recipient of the Excellence in Education of Ukraine award, and an Honoured Worker of Education of Ukraine.
Ivan Hradil began working at Kherson State Pedagogical Institute in 1965 as a mechanic-instructor and served as Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Affairs from 1972 to 1997. He took an active part in building the material-technical base of the institute, including the construction of the main academic building, the philology faculty building, two dormitories, a cafeteria, a library, a sports hall, the reconstruction of the Burevisnik sports and recreation camp, as well as the renovation of existing buildings and the botanical garden-agrobiological station. Under his leadership, major and routine repairs of the institute's buildings, premises, and surrounding areas were carried out. Ivan Hradil supervised the operation of the student campus, managed production activities in the institute’s self-financed divisions, and was responsible for the technical and sanitary conditions of the educational institution, as well as the security of its buildings, grounds, and property. He also oversaw the occupational safety service and, together with it, ensured safe working conditions for the institute’s academic staff, employees, and students. Under his leadership, major and routine repairs of the institute's buildings, premises, and surrounding areas were carried out. Ivan supervised the operation of the student campus, managed production activities in the institute’s self-financed divisions, and was responsible for the technical and sanitary conditions of the educational institution, as well as the security of its buildings, grounds, and property.
