Day of women and girls in science
The holiday "was founded in order to achieve full and equal access of women and girls to science, as well as to ensure gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls."(from the resolution of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly dated December 22, 2015)
International Day of Women and Girls in Science (International Day of Women and Girls in Science) is celebrated every year on February 11, according to the decision of the United Nations.In Ukraine, the statistics are quite good: 46% of women scientists.Ukrainian women have made a name for themselves in molecular biophysics, psychology, nanomaterials science and computer engineering, including abroad.
Kherson State University also has its own statistics.34% of the academic ranks are women (out of the total number of teaching staff).Of the 48 professors, 19 are women (which is almost 40% of the university's professors and 5% of the entire teaching staff).The full-scale war in Ukraine made adjustments in every sphere of Ukrainian life.Institutions of higher education did not miss this.But this year too, our female scientists worked diligently.
That is why the Scientific Library of Kherson University has prepared for you a selection of works for 2022 by female professors of our Kherson State University.
