Vitaliy Rakovych is an artist-painter with a wide range of creative searches, works in various techniques of fine arts but prefers oil painting and pastels. His genre preferences are portrait, landscape, still life. In his works he tries to preserve the feeling of variability, to poetize the uniqueness of life, to embody the first impression of nature. His painting has no traditional completion, not brought to a dry academic. The illusion of three-dimensionality is emphasized by the light-air environment, objects are materialized with varying degrees of conventionality. Strong three-dimensional molding, a wide expressive brushstroke, clean colors and beautiful writing on a dark background are the hallmarks of the artist's handwriting. In V. Rakovych's creative work you can find still lifes flooded by the gentle sun of Kherson region, lyrical rains, azure marinas, chamber intimate portraits permeated with awareness of the spiritual and physical beauty of man. The author defines his direction in art as expressive realism.
