SECOND INFORMATION NOTICE
Dear Colleagues!
We invite you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference
“Current Issues in Natural and Mathematical Education in Secondary and Higher Schools”.
The conference will take place on June 26-28, 2014,
at Kherson State University (Kherson, Ukraine).
Planned Conference Topics:
- The quality of natural and mathematical education as a scientific and social priority.
- Innovative approaches (competency-based, activity-oriented, and student-centered methodologies) to reforming and improving the content of natural science education in secondary and higher education.
- Teaching technologies for natural and mathematical disciplines in schools and universities.
- Educational experiments in natural and mathematical education.
- Designing the educational process for natural and mathematical disciplines in secondary and higher schools.
- Experience in teaching natural and mathematical disciplines in foreign educational institutions.
- Preparing teachers of natural and mathematical disciplines for implementing the new general secondary education standard.
Publication of Conference Materials:
A collection of abstracts will be published (available during the conference), as well as a scientific journal for research articles.
Participation Requirements:
Participants wishing to attend the conference must submit the following materials via email to by May 15, 2014:
- Application for participation.
- Abstracts of presentations (minimum 3 full pages).
- Full article (minimum 8 full pages, optional).
A printing fee of 25 UAH per printed page (for abstracts and articles) should be sent via postal transfer to:

Accommodation and Organizational Fees:
The Organizing Committee requests participants to inform about their arrival date and the number of attendees at least 20 days in advance to arrange accommodation.
For participants attending the conference in person, an organizational fee is required.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Submission format: Send via email to
- Languages: Ukrainian or Russian.
- Minimum length: 3 full pages.
- Page size: A4 (21 cm × 29.7 cm).
- Margins: Top and bottom – 20 mm, right – 15 mm, left – 30 mm.
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Font: Times New Roman, size 14, in rtf or doc format (Word for Windows 2003).
- Figures: Created in Microsoft Word or scanned at a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Important Notes:
- Submitted texts will not be edited or revised.
- Materials that do not meet the requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered or returned.
- Authors are responsible for any errors in their submissions.
The number of printed copies of abstracts and research articles will be determined based on a "one paper – one copy" policy. Co-authors may order additional copies for an additional fee if indicated in the application form.
If authors cannot attend in person, the Organizing Committee can send the printed materials by mail upon prior request.
Full Article Submission Guidelines for Scientific Journal Publication:
- Maximum length: 15 pages.
- Language: Ukrainian.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 14, 1.5 line spacing.
- Margins: Top and bottom – 2 cm, left – 2.5 cm, right – 1.5 cm.
- Paragraph indent: 1.5 cm.
- No blank lines between paragraphs.
Formatting Requirements:
- First line (left-aligned): UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) index
- Next lines (right-aligned):
- Author(s)' full name (bold).
- City (regular font).
- Title of the article (centered, uppercase, bold).
- Abstract and keywords (in Ukrainian).
- Main body of the article, structured as follows:
- Problem statement and its relevance.
- Review of previous research and unresolved issues.
- Objective of the article.
- Research findings with detailed analysis.
- Conclusions and future research directions.
- Author's full name in Russian (right-aligned).
- Article title in Russian (centered).
- Abstract and keywords in Russian.
- Author's full name in English (right-aligned).
- Article title in English (centered).
- Abstract and keywords in English.
Figures and Graphs:
- Format: JPEG, BMP, TIF, GIF (minimum resolution 300 dpi).
- Figures should be properly labeled and placed within the text.
- Text in figures should match the main font style and size (Times New Roman, 14 pt).
- Figures must be grouped if created in Word.

Tables:
- Created in Word and adjusted to the page width.
- Main text: 14 pt; Table headings: 14 pt, bold, centered.
References Formatting:
The reference list should follow Ukrainian State Academic Standards (VAK requirements) and be formatted as follows:
