Dear Professors and Students!

We invite you to participate in the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference
“Technologies of Competency-Based Learning in Natural and Mathematical Disciplines”,
which will take place on April 23-24, 2015, at Kherson State University.

Planned Conference Topics:

  • Problem-based learning technologies in natural and mathematical disciplines.
  • Information technologies as a means of developing students' competencies.
  • Innovative technologies as a factor influencing the effectiveness of teaching natural and mathematical disciplines in the context of competency-based education.
  • Designing competency-based learning technologies for middle and high school.
  • Development of competency-based teaching tools for students and pupils.

Conference materials will be published in a scientific proceedings collection.

Participation Requirements:

Participants wishing to attend the conference must submit the following materials via email to by April 1, 2015:

  • Application for participation.
  • Full article for publication in the conference proceedings (in electronic format).
  • Scanned payment receipt for the article publication fee (20 UAH per printed page).

The Organizing Committee requests participants to inform about their arrival date and the number of attendees at least 15 days in advance to arrange dormitory accommodations. Accommodation fees can be paid upon registration.


Article Submission Guidelines

  • Language: Ukrainian or Russian.
  • Minimum length: 3 full pages.
  • Paper size: A4 (21 cm × 29.7 cm).
  • Margins: Top and bottom – 20 mm, right – 15 mm, left – 30 mm.
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 14, in rtf or doc format (Word for Windows 2003).
  • Figures: Must be embedded in the text (Insert → Object → Microsoft Word Picture). Scanned images should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
  • References: May be listed alphabetically or in order of citation. Example of citation format in text: [1, p.155].

The article must include:

  • Relevance of the topic.
  • Research objectives.
  • Tasks addressed during the study.
  • Results for each task.
  • Conclusions.
  • Possible directions for further research.
