Welcome to the page dedicated to the international activities of the Faculty of Medicine. Our work is aimed at expanding international cooperation, strengthening international relations, and increasing the authority of Kherson State University in the world.
Special attention is paid to cooperation with international organizations, associations and foreign institutions of higher education to expand educational opportunities for our students and researchers.
We operate in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, the KSU Statute, orders of the Rector, decisions of the Academic Council, the Regulations on the KSU Department of International Initiatives and Project Management, the Regulations on the Procedure for the Implementation of the Right to Academic Mobility at Kherson State University, and other relevant regulations. Main areas of activity:
- search for foreign partners for international cooperation;
- drafting and concluding cooperation agreements;
- organising cooperation of the faculty departments with foreign partners, accounting and reporting on this type of activity;
- dissemination of information among the Faculty's departments and students about competitions for participation in international programmes, assistance in the preparation and execution of required documents;
- organization of educational and scientific events with the participation of international partners;
- advertising;
- creation of information databases on international educational and research programmes for students and academics and their constant updating.

Best practices and achievements of the Faculty of Medicine in international activities 2023-2024
25.10.24 - Lecture on Nursing Care by Viktoriia Vereshchakina, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at Kherson State University, Guest Researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
On the occasion of the World Mental Health Day, curators of academic groups of the Faculty of Medicine of Kherson State University joined the webinar ‘Stress-free education: American experience of supporting mental health in educational institutions of Ukraine’
The speakers: Dr. Mariia Bratko, a professor at Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University and an education expert at the Charity Fund "Act for Ukraine"; Dr. Anna Romanova-researcher at the Institute of educational systems at Florida State University (USA), professor of relocated Kherson State University, Project Coordinator for the support and restoration of Ukraine; Dr. Wilma Fuentes - professor at Florida State University (USA), Head of the University's Ukraine Support Group; Moderator: Dr. Violetta Yanyshevska-president of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Tourism. The event is sponsored by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
Within the framework of the international project " HAW. International Modul in 2022-2025, Projekt 57602998" offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from October 7 to 11, 2024, the winter school "Health Tourism" was held at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology / at the European campus Rottal-Inn (Germany, Bavaria).

- Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Academic Affairs Nataliia Vasilieva;
- first (bachelor's) degree students of speciality 227 Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy: Tetiana Yakushova (4th year), Maryna Finkova (4th year), Diana Maloziomova (3rd year) and second (master's) degree students majoring in 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation Yevheniia Kryvonos and Yelyzaveta Barsuk.
Ihor Holovchenko, Dean of the School of Medicine of Kherson State University, took part in an international project under the EU Erasmus+ programme DigiUni: Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI-FAU) in Fürth, Germany
The European Congress of Rheumatology EULAR 2024 was held in Vienna from June 12 to 15. The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is an organization which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professional and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations.
Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine Tetiana Tarasenko took part in the Congress - ‘It is incredible to feel as a part of the European rheumatology society and to be supported by the European community! Very intense 4 days of the Congress: many new anti-rheumatic medicines (unfortunately, many of them are not yet available for Ukrainians), recommendations for the treatment of rheumatological patients, meetings with colleagues.’
Constant development is the main component of modern medicine!
Yuliia Solona, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Medicine, was delegated to the Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland), from 26 May to 01 June 2024, to participate in the DIGIUNI training on best practices of the Adam Mickiewicz University under the Erasmus+ project ‘Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative (DigiUni)’ (№ 101129236 - DigiUni - ERASMUS - EDU - 2023 - CBHE).
The international project ‘HAW. International Modul B 2022-2025, Projekt 57602998' from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is in progress. As part of the project, the Summer School HEALTH TOURISM was held from 9 to 13 October 2023 at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology / at the European Campus Rottal-Inn (Germany, Bavaria).
